Summary: Climate-related change in flowers diversity has shown a decrease in he length of alpine bumble bee's tongues. The bees use their tongues to gather nectar from flowers and deep down of some unreachable flowers with their corolla tube. There has been studies that show a decrease in the bee's population Having to use data from previous bees, from 1966 to 1980 and the bees from 2012 to 2014 in the length of their tongues they have noticed how there is a shorting. Not showing a decrease in the body of the bees. Warm summers has shown a reduction in the number of deep flowers as well as shallow flowers. Researchers has noticed the effect of climate change towards bees and plants.
My reflection
The reason why i chose this article is because I am aware that bees are endanger of extinction or more like they're population is decreasing. Knowing that climate change it one of the ways bees are being harm and that their tongues are shorter than before was the interesting part that i found, not liking bees but when i read the title it caught my attention. If the bees are not able to obtain the nectar for the flower they wont be able to produce the honey nor to spread the pollen. The problem is not only with the been but also with the climate change.
